Other Options

There is no law saying school leavers must go straight to college on completing the leaving cert, and life's rich tapestry would surely lose a few colourful threads if we were all to follow the same set path.
There are many other options out there for people who want to gain some life experience, sample the working life or, for those for whom higher education is simply not an ambition, alternatives to college such as the FÁS apprenticeship.
