With 1,500 students, IADT is unique in Ireland. It is one of the 14 Institutes of Technology but is the only Institute of Art, Design and Technology, and the leader in programmes for visual and media arts, digital media and technology, and the business and cultural sectors.
Organised in three Schools, School of Creative Arts, School of Creative Technologies, and School of Business and Humanities, IADT is also home to the internationally recognised National Film School.

Postgraduate programmes are offered in Cultural Event Management, Public Culture Studies, Visual Arts Practices and Screenwriting. We are currently developing postgraduate programmes in areas such as Cyberpsychology, Digital Media and Broadcast Production. Opportunities for postgraduate research are available in each School.
We also offer a range of extra-mural courses in the Summer and Autumn Schools including portfolio preparation courses that are of particular relevance to prospective students of programmes in creative arts and media.
IADT students enjoy excellent library, computing, studio and other specialist facilities. Our Digital Media Incubation Centre, which will house start-up companies and provide opportunities for graduate entrepreneurs, will open its doors in March 2007.
