IADT, the Institute of Technology with a unique name and a specialist focus, is the leader in programmes for visual and media arts, digital media and technology, and the business and cultural sectors.
Organised in three Schools, SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND HUMANITIES, SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS and SCHOOL OF CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIES, IADT is also home to the internationally recognised NATIONAL FILM SCHOOL.

IADT also offers a range of extra-mural courses in its Summer and Autumn Schools. These include portfolio preparation courses that are of particular relevance to prospective students of programmes in creative arts and media.
IADT students enjoy excellent library, computing, studio and other specialist facilities. The Digital Media Incubation Centre, opened in March 2007, houses start-up companies and provide opportunities for graduate entrepreneurs.
IADT welcomes the participation of students from non-traditional backgrounds.
We offer a learning environment that caters for students as individuals. Small class groups and a project-oriented approach ensure a high level of learning support.
Student Life
A comprehensive range of student services is offered to our students. These include a health centre, counsellor, access officer, careers officer, writing and research tutors and a sports and recreation officer.
The growing number of clubs and societies make campus life even more colourful, catering for all interests from rugby, soccer, hockey, jugger, martial arts and GAA to music, film, and computer games.

Location
IADT is located on Kill Avenue, less than two miles from the centre of Dun Laoghaire. It can be easily reached by bus routes 46A, 75, 45 and 7. The 46A and 75 bus routes link IADT with the DART suburban rail and national rail network. The DART will take you to Dublin City Centre in less than 20 minutes.
The Luas in Sandyford, linked to IADT by bus routes 46A and 75, and the M50, coming up to Shankill, are less than 2 miles from IADT.
